Blogpost #6: Why We Created a Part-Time Office Membership (and Who It Makes Sense For)

Since opening our doors, I’ve been lucky to have some truly insightful conversations with members of the community. These chats not only provide them with a better understanding of the evolving world of coworking but also help me stay more in tune with the needs and desires of our growing professional network.

The days of large office floors and CEOs tucked away in corner offices are fading. Today, it’s not uncommon to find members of the C-suite sitting right beside you at a hot desk in a coworking space.

While there’s still a clear need for defined workspaces—especially as companies seek reliable spaces to meet and collaborate—many professionals are finding that a hybrid model (i.e. a combination of working from home and working in a more defined workspace) best suits their schedule and workflow. Over the past few months of giving tours, I realized that something was missing from our flexible offerings.

For some, a coworking membership provides the ideal level of access and affordability. But for those who are regularly leading calls or Zoom meetings, the need for privacy and quiet is non-negotiable. A full-time private office lease, however, wouldn’t make sense for their hybrid work schedule—it would simply go unused much of the time.

So we started brainstorming the perfect middle ground.

After listening to an insightful episode of the Everything Coworking podcast with Jamie Russo, the idea became clear: a Part-Time Office Membership. This new membership gives users consistent access to a bookable private office, without the commitment of a full-time lease. It’s exclusively available to members of this plan, ensuring time slots are available and valuable to those who truly need them.

We’re proud to continue evolving our offerings to better serve our professional community. As we grow, it’s become clear that workspace is not one-size-fits-all. Our goal is to remain a flexible, responsive resource—whether through coworking memberships, office rentals, meeting space, event hosting, or workshops and programming designed for our community.
